The Route

The Bike for Cancer Care will offer three rides for all skill levels – a 12-, 25- & 50-mile ride traveling throughout Ulster County.

Each route will begin in Kingston at Dietz Stadium. The 12-mile ride will extend to Hurley, the 25-mile ride will extend to Marbletown, Stone Ridge and Rosendale, and the 50-mile ride continue to the Shawangunk Mountains of New Paltz before returning to Kingston.

What could be better than enjoying the beauty of fall in the Hudson Valley, while helping cancer patients who are in need? Below are details for each ride.

50 Mile Ride:

Will depart Dietz Stadium in Kingston, NY and turn left onto Hurley Avenue. Proceed out Hurley Avenue and take a right onto Main Street in Hurley. At the Hurley Mountain Inn, take a right onto Wynkoop Street. At the end of Wyncoop, take a left on Hurley Mountain Road. Follow until the end and take a left onto Tongore Road. On Tongore Road, take a right onto Bogart Lane and bear left onto Mill Dam Road (Marbletown). Take a right onto Main Street
in Stone Ridge (RT 209) and a left onto Cottekill Road. Follow Cottekill Road to Lucas Avenue Turnpike and go right on Lucas Avenue Turnpike. Follow Lucas Avenue Turnpike to High Falls and go left onto RT 213. Off of RT 213 take a left onto Cottekill Road. At the top of the hill, go right onto Binnewater Road. At the bottom of the hill, go left onto Main Street/RT 213 in Rosendale. Take a right onto James Street and an immediate right onto Keator Ave (behind Saint Peter’s Church). At the top of the hill and turn left onto Elting Road /County RT 7. Follow RT 7(Springtown Road) to New Paltz. Take a right onto RT 299 towards Mohonk Preserve. Off of RT 299 bear left onto Binnewater Road / Libertyville Road (UC Fair Grounds). Take a right onto Albany Post Road and continue straight onto Butterville Road. Bear right onto Cannan Dug Road. At the end of Cannan Dug Road, take a left onto County RT 7 (Springtown Road). Bear right at the fork at the end of Springtown Road onto Spring Hill Road. At the bottom of the hill turn right onto Keator Avenue. At the end of Keator Ave turn left on RT 213. Off RT 213 turn right onto Binnewater Road. At Williams Lake, bear left to stay on Binnewater Road. Follow Binnewater Road to the end and go right onto Lucas Avenue Extension. Follow Lucas Avenue and take a left on Zanhook Road. At the end take a right onto Hurley Avenue and turn right into Dietz Stadium.

25 Mile Ride:

Riders will depart Dietz Stadium in Kingston, NY and take a left onto Hurley Avenue. Proceed out Hurley Avenue and take a right onto Main Street in Hurley. At the Hurley Mountain Inn, take a right onto Wynkoop Street. At the end of Wyncoop, take a left on Hurley Mountain Road. Follow until the end and take a left onto Tongore Road. Turn right onto Bogart Land and bear left onto Mill Dam Road (Marbletown). At the top of the hill cross over RT 209 to Cottekill Road (Stone Ridge) next to Davenport Farms. Follow Cottekill Road to Saw Dust Avenue (crossing over Lucas Ave). At the end of Saw Dust Avenue, go left onto Binnewater Road. Bear left at Williams Lake and continue on Binnewater Road. Follow Binnewater Road to the end and go right onto Lucas Avenue Extension. Follow Lucas Avenue and take a left on Zanhook Road. At the end take a right onto Hurley Avenue and continue to a right into Dietz Stadium.

12 Mile Ride:

Riders will leave Dietz Stadium and cross on to Hurley Avenue. Riders will stay on Hurley Avenue heading towards the Historic town of Hurley. At the four corners in Hurley, riders will turn right onto Main Street. From Main Street riders will take a right onto Wynkoop Road. At the end of Wynkoop Road, riders will turn right onto Hurley Mountain Road. Riders will continue on Hurley Mountain Road until they reach Saxx Little League field. Riders will turn around and come back Hurley Mountain Road. Riders will turn left onto Wynkoop Road and at the four corners turn left onto Main Street. At the end of Main Street, riders will turn left onto Hurley Avenue and continue on Hurley Avenue back to Dietz Stadium.
